The Mammal Brain (also called the Limbic System) helps us comprehend how we process information, and helps us feel the repercussions of our actions in the physical world. This evolved after the Reptile Brain. Consider it "The Mother."

The Human Brain (specifically, the Neocortex) is the newest part of our brain. It makes us truly human in the sense that it grants us the ability to entertain and exercise higher-order thought. One could view it as "The Son."
